With its large population, access to safe water in Indonesia is a challenge for many people. The situation is schools is especially concerning. According to UN and UNICEF data, 27% of schools in Indonesia lack a basic water supply and 53% lack basic sanitation.

Planet Water
Foundation In Indonesia
Planet Water Foundation has been active in Indonesia since 2009, and deployed over 150 clean water projects during this time, providing access to clean, safe water to over 290,000 people.
Our work includes the deployment of over 140 AquaTower water filtration systems which have been deployed in elementary schools in conjunction with our water health and hygiene education program. Together, our solutions are helping to bring clean, safe water access to students, teachers and members of the communities surrounding our project sites.
Currently, our focus is on clean water projects in West Java and West Nusa Tenggara.
Planet Water Foundation has also actively been involved in disaster response efforts in Indonesia, providing access to safe water to thousands of people impacted by the Lombok earthquake in 2018 and the Cianjur earthquake in 2022.
