A First Response Solution


A First Response Solution


Typically deployed as a first response solution as soon as possible after a disaster event occurrence.

Deployed in designated evacuation centers.

Initially operated by Planet Water staff or partners, then handed over to the recipient community and operated by trained personnel.

After initial use, the AquaBlock can be re-staged for future use thus building capacity to respond to future events.

Two on-board pump solutions, electric and petrol, selectable with turn of a valve.

4-stage water purification system housed in a lockable aluminum container.

Chlorine dosing keeps drinking water safe for up to 24 hours after access.

Produces 700 liters per hour with capacity to support daily drinking water needs of up to 6,000 people.

Eight water access points and water bottle pedestals.

Accepts surface and ground water sources.

External lights for night-time operations.

A Post Recovery Solution


A permanent water filtration system commonly deployed as a post recovery solution after a disaster event occurrence.

Common project deployment locations include schools, community centers, and health care facilities.

Initially operated by Planet Water staff or partners, and then handed over to the recipient community trained personnel.

Installed in 3 hours.

Safe Drinking Water Access


Safe Drinking Water Access


Three-stage water filtration incorporating ultrafiltration (UF) hollow fiber membrane technology and activated carbon for enhanced water quality.

Produces up to 1,000 liters per hour capable of supporting the daily drinking water requirements of up to 1,800 people.

Six water access points.

Three liquid soap dispensers for handwashing.

Easily managed with a simple operation and daily maintenance process.

2025 - Jamaica Hurricane Melissa (Response in Progress)

Planet Water Foundation quickly mobilized its Disaster Response team to Jamaica to deploy emergency water filtration systems in communities which have been severely impacted by the category 5 hurricane.

2025 - Myanmar Earthquake

Following the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake which hit Myanmar on March 28th, Planet Water Foundation undertook a major response to provide safe drinking water access to survivors.

2025 - Cebu Earthquake, Philippines

The Planet Water team rapidly mobilized to Cebu after the 6.9-magnitude earthquake on September 30, deploying water filtration systems to help restore safe water access for affected communities.

2025 - Floods - Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico

Following the devastating floods that struck Veracruz, Mexico, Planet Water Foundation’s Disaster Response Team rapidly mobilized to provide clean, safe drinking water to affected communities.

2024 - Hurricane Helene, Asheville, NC, USA

Following the catastrophic impact caused by Hurricane Helene in the southeastern US, Planet Water Foundation initiated a major response to meet the urgent need for safe drinking water in Asheville, NC.

2024 - Typhoon Yagi, Vietnam

Typhoon Yagi delivered a colossal deluge of rain in Vietnam on September 7, 2024. In what is considered one of the strongest storms to hit the country in three decades, widespread flooding and landslides damaged nearly 190,000 homes, and impacted around three million people. Planet Water’s response was initiated within hours, with AquaTower water filtration systems deployed in some of the hardest-hit areas in Yen Bai Province.

2024 - Floods - Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

In late April 2024, heavy rains and storms in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul resulted in the country’s worst flooding in over 80 years. Homes and infrastructure were destroyed on a huge scale. Planet Water Foundation swiftly responded, airlifting emergency water filtration systems into the disaster zone, and coordinating closely with local authorities and the Rio Grande do Sul state government to spearhead the deployment, installation and operation of the water filtration systems.

2023 - Hurricane Otis – Acapulco, Mexico

Classified as a Category 5 Hurricane, Otis made landfall over the coastal city of Acapulco, central Guerrero State, southern Mexico in the early morning of October 25, 2023 causing floods and landslides, killing and injuring dozens of people. In cooperation with Coordinación Nacional de Protección Civil, Planet Water Foundation deployed a total of ten water filtration systems in the disaster zone in 2 phases.

2023 - Morocco Earthquake

Morocco was rattled by a powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake in September, 2023 claiming almost 3,000 lives. Homes and structures across the High Atlas Mountains were destroyed, leaving the area barely recognisable. Planet Water Foundation’s response commenced with the airlifting of AquaBlock emergency water systems from our global logistics hub into Casablanca, from where they were transported via land into the disaster zone. In total our response supported up to 60,000 people with safe drinking water.

2023 - Türkiye Earthquake

On February 6, 2023 a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck south central Türkiye. Just 11 minutes later, it was followed by a magnitude 6.7 aftershock. The devastation resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and the destruction of countless buildings. Planet Water Foundation, with support of Xylem, coordinated with Turkish disaster management agency AFAD and the Red Crescent to bring AquaBlock emergency water systems into the most severely affected provinces of Adiyaman, Kahramanmaras and Hatay where they were deployed in evacuation camps where survivors had been relocated.
