Water and Sanitation Issues in Vietnam

Whilst a basic water supply is available across most of the country, access to safe drinking water remains a challenge, with many people reliant on bottled water for their water needs and the associated costs which come with purchasing it. This poses challenges for many low income earners.

Planet Water
Foundation In Vietnam

Planet Water Foundation has been active in Vietnam since 2012, and deployed over 100 clean water projects during this time, providing access to clean, safe water to over 190,000 people.

Our work includes the deployment of over 90 AquaTower water filtration systems which have been deployed in elementary schools in conjunction with our water health and hygiene education program. Together, our solutions are helping to bring clean, safe water access to students, teachers and members of the communities surrounding our project sites.

Currently, our focus is on clean water projects in Binh Phuoc, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Lam Dong, Long An, Phu Tho, and Quang Nam Provinces.

The parents of our students are mostly low-income factory workers. It is quite challenging for their families to purchase bottled water as we don't have reliable clean drinking water sources. We are very happy to receive the water filter because from now on, the children will get potable water without any cost. This will facilitate the healthy growth and development of the future generation.
Mr. Pham Duc Minh - School Principal
We are amongst the most populated communities in the province. Our school is in dire need of clean water especially since we are providing board and lodging to some of the students. The AquaTower is of great assistance to us, teachers and to the poverty-stricken families in the village.
