Planet Water Foundation has deployed AquaSafe Water Filter & Hygiene Stations in Pampanga, Philippines, providing capacity to support up to 2,000 people with safe drinking water following prolonged flooding. Successive tropical storms and heavy monsoon rains brought widespread flooding to Central Luzon throughout August and early September 2026. In Pampanga, many communities remained flooded for weeks, forcing families from their homes and disrupting schools, livelihoods, and essential services.

Access to safe drinking water became a critical concern as water refilling stations stopped operating and local water sources faced contamination risks. Bottled-water supplies were limited, with some communities accessible only by boat or specialized vehicles.

Our Disaster Response team distributed AquaSafe systems to evacuation centers, affected communities, elementary schools, and a health center in San Simon, Pampanga. These portable systems enable families and facilities to filter locally available water, reducing their reliance on bottled-water deliveries.

“We have been staying here at Sta. Monica Chapel for almost one month because our home is still flooded and we still cannot return,” shared one resident. “AquaSafe is a big help for us because the clean water being provided is really not enough.”

Thank you to Concentrix, Think Human Fund, and our individual supporters for helping bring safe drinking water to families as they recover.
