Water and Sanitation Issues in Malaysia
Whilst a basic water supply is available across most of the country, access to safe drinking water is challenge in parts of the country. This leaves people reliant on bottled water for their water needs and the associated costs which come with purchasing it. This poses challenges for many low income earners.

Foundation In Malaysia
Planet Water Foundation’s work in Malaysia commenced in 2026 with the objective of addressing the issues around access to safe drinking water in the country.
Our work is currently focused in the state of Sabah and on the deployment of our AquaTower water filtration systems which we have begun to deploy in elementary schools in conjunction with our water health and hygiene education program. Our solutions are helping to bring clean, safe water access to students, teachers and members of the communities surrounding our project sites.
